As a society, we are deprived from genuine touch. We are all born with an instinct to be touched in a non-provoking manner. It is a touch that quiets the mind, body and soul.

Imagine lying under crisp, fresh sheets while hushed music draws you into a moment where the weight of the world seems to melt away. Sounds good, right?

Massage is not only a remedy for sore, tired muscles. The touch of a massage can quiet the world around you. In our everyday lives we experience stress, with our jobs or family matters, which in turn can affect our whole-being.
Massage and Stress
Experts now believe that stress could be a causative factor in disease of the body. The stress that we experience can affect our bodies as a whole.

It is inter-related with the way we eat, our mood and they amount of sleep that we get. When we stress out, our body will go into attack mode and adrenaline hormones are released into our blood, which in turn will make it harder to get our body to relax.

The physical changes that massage gives can have a positive effect in many areas of our lives. Massage has shown to increase circulation, shorter recovery from an injury. It also, helps to increase relaxation, sleep better, increase concentration, reduces fatigue and can give us more energy.

In a way massage teaches us to be more in the moment and listen to our bodies. If we are more in tuned with our bodies, we can help to heal it faster.

Massage and Exercise

Sports Massage is great when training. It could be done before or after a workout.

Before a workout, massage helps to warm up the tissues by moving blood into the muscles, and loosens the muscles, which helps to prevent injury. It is an invigorating massage. This enables the athlete to reach peak performance earlier in the event and maintain that performance longer; great idea to get done before an event.

After a workout or an event, the goal of the massages is to increase circulation, clear out metabolic wastes, reduce muscle tension and quiets the nervous system. It helps to reduce muscles spasms and tension and helps to reduce the risk of energy. All massage helps to get the blood back flowing throughout the body and helps to put nutrients back in to the muscles.

Don't forget that massage directly affects the circulatory system, and within that it increases the nutrients that are absorbed into the muscle tissue and helps to eliminate waste and toxins from the tissues. We all battle some degree of Cellulite at some point in our lives. Cellulite is caused by toxins stored in our fat cells that are not regularly flushed out by our liver and kidneys. It plagues our thighs, abdomen and glutes. Cellulite Massage retrains the body to flush these toxins that accumulate from the food and water we ingest, the air that we breathe and the body products used. Massage helps to soften the fat cells to help promote the lymphatics to flush the toxins through the urinary, lymph system and the lower intestines.

Cellulite Massage is a six week program, one hour sessions done three times a week. It is intensive program, only for the dedicated. Along with the massages it is recommended to follow a healthy diet along with an exercise program. This will only help further your results. In the hour session, I will be using specific techniques to help flush these toxins out. We will be tracking your measurements weekly along with your weight. Results should be noticeable around the third week. My goal is along with your goal…to help you beat Cellulite!
